Third generation decoder

Introduction.

This page describes the v3 decoder for HRPT/BPSK and QPSK formats. This is an upgrade of the v2 decoder; hardware for that decoer (GODIL) is not available anymore. Theused FPGA is a Xilinx Spartan7 FPGA XC7S25.

Features:

Decoders: switchable from software ('wsat') or 'real' swicthes
- PSK: HRPT and Meteor-AHRPT
- QPSK: METOP, Fengyun-3D, NOAA20, NOAA21, Aqua
decoder and generator for each type available at the same time
Bit integrator for noise canceller
Registermap for settings and monitoring via software
USB interface

row 1: name satellite, right: m=manual, a=auto; 3:
row 2: format and symbol rate
row 3: sync state, '!' = out-sync, holds for a second, to show short out-of-sync
row 4: status data transfer to PC, '!' = data transfer too slow, holds for a second

Manual choice satellite type can be done e.g. using dipswitch, and/or using a Fermion 8421 Encoder.

Programming the S7Mini

You need installed Vivado and a JTAG upload cable. Bit- and command files:
